n 2019 I started developing my sculpture into furniture. The impetus behind this was manifold. First, I needed some pieces of furniture for myself. Second, drawers and doors allowed my viewers to interact with my sculptures, as they had done with my earlier large-scale interactive installations. Finally, furniture represented a return to relating to the viewer, as my installations had. Combining these requirements with my new techniques from the sculptures let to the creation of M. Stahl Design and a whole line of furniture and ligting.
